No one will spend more time with your eyes in Karratha

As of 1 November 2025, Karratha Eyecare will be moving to a private billing model. Due to changes in the rebates and freezing of fees by the federal Government from 2015, along with indexation that is significantly less than CPI, the reimbursement of fees under Medicare has fallen further behind a level that reflects adequate compensation for your optometrist time.
Karratha Eyecare prides itself on providing a premium optometry service, spending more time on your appointment and offering services that fills the gap in rural eye health. Our commitment has always been to the care of our patients, and the move to private billing will ensure that we continue to bring you the best in eye health, from skilled staff, the latest technology and equipment, and ongoing support in the treatment and management of your eye conditions.
Bulk-billing for eye exams only will still apply to:
  • Children
  • Pensioners
  • DVA
  • Contract Clients
The nominal fee for imaging will remain as an out-of-pocket expense.
The consultation fees are below on this page.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to providing you with the high level of excellence and care you have come to know and expect at Karratha Eyecare.”
